Scottish Fine Art That Brings Emotional Depth Into Your Home
Welcome to the fine art of Tio Guise.
THE SEARCH FOR MEANINGFUL ART
When people look for art, they scroll marketplace websites, flip through Instagram feeds, or wander galleries hoping something will resonate.
But taste doesn’t come from quantity.
It comes from connection.
When you’re looking for art, you don’t want a decoration. You want work with soul — intentional visual language, emotional truth, and the kind of depth that makes you pause.
COMMISSION ART FOR YOUR HOME
Commission a Piece of Original Fine Art
If you want something personal, I can create a piece specifically for your space — grounded in the Scottish artistic tradition and shaped through a lifetime of drawing and painting.
We begin with three simple anchors:
- The space you want to fill
- The mood you want to bring into the room
- The color language that feels true to you
From there, I sketch, draw, and paint — using oil, watercolour, acrylic, or gouache — guiding the work toward a piece with emotional depth and visual integrity.
ABOUT TIO GUISE
I have drawn and painted my entire life.
I’ve exhibited throughout Scotland, taught drawing through the Open College of the Arts, and made art a steady thread through every season of my story — as an artist, a mother, and a grandmother.
My work is an interpretation of how I see and feel the world, shaped by observation and transformed by imagination.
I would love to share the way I see the world with you.
Roots
I was born and raised in Edinburgh, and I trained at Edinburgh College of Art. There, drawing wasn’t treated as a technique. It became a language.
For me, it still is. Its a way of speaking beyond words.
Drawing is tactile and direct — and it’s where I begin. It opens the heart and starts a dialogue for meaning and emotion to flow into fulness through colour and form.
Those early foundations continue to shape how I work.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
‘I felt hugely complimented to be Tio’s subject and so artistically interpreted.’
Kenny Brill
Scottish Singer Songwriter
“A truly beautiful painting by Tio that captures a moment filled with passion and tenderness. The blend of my African attire with my mixed-race grandson is captivating, symbolizing heritage, love, and the beauty of generations coming together. Every detail tells a story- proof that a picture truly speaks from the heart.”
