Portraits
A portrait of a loved one holds more than a memory, it has presence.
Capturing character is beyond creating likeness, it reveals the life within.
For me the opportunity to paint someone’s portrait is a privilege. The finished work is a creation developed out of the artist and sitter’s relationship.
I work up the design from an initial sitting – in person or online – followed up with sketches and photographs.
The finished work will be in your choice of media which can be anything from pen and ink, charcoal, pastel, water colour, acrylic or oil paint.
Being portrayed through and artist’s eyes is a rewarding experience of value, affirming identity and self-worth.
